'The lovely patterns of the houses on the banks of the Swan River are a subject that has fascinated me for a long time. In this case I was attracted to the subtle colours and tonal greys of an autumnal dawn. The quotation is from ‘Imitation of Horace’ written in 1714 by Jonathan Swift.
