Artist/Gallery notes
This is based on a lovely cottage garden in York a small town east of Perth. I modified it slightly by creating a path and a gate to give access to the cottage. I had in mind a painting by Bonnard which has a great area of paint with nothing but yellows. Later I modified this by bringing in more flowers into the yellow area. I hope it creates a feeling of summer and the fragrance of flowers.
