Artist/Gallery notes
GALLERY: A romantic view of the Swan Valley the photograph does not do justice to the original painting which large and has great presence. It has an underlying zigzag structure and the artist has carefully controlled the space to give the impression of rolling hills. The painting is slightly reminiscent of Lloyd Rees and on closer examination it has lovely painterly construction with rich areas of overlapping dragged oil paint . ARTIST: "This is an imaginary view of the Swan Valley and I wanted to create a romantic illusion of the valley which I know so well."
