GALLERY: Driving along Hay Street in Subiaco in late afternoon all you can see is the sun the dark shapes of cars and reflected sunlight. That is exactly what Holton captures in this work, except the sun is not dazzling but muted and the painting is full of rich golden tones contrasting with the cool shapes and shadows.
