This sequence of four paintings shows the cliffs along the banks of the Swan river in Perth, Western Australia. Houses, many of which are mansions, tumble down the steep slopes in every nook and cranny. Far below, on the river, boats are moored. I was interested in the wall of colours and shapes dissolving into almost abstract patterns.
